Welcome to mine.
I’m Peter Cowell and I’m a photographer.
I’m drawn to explore and learn about the intricate beauty surrounding me: birds catching dinner for their young, the way light light falls on leaves on a tree, a surfer hooking in the pocket of a wave, and people finding ways to enjoy and coexist with the life around them.
Photography gets me out looking. I am curious to discover the intimate moments I might capture through my lens when I stop thinking about myself long enough to notice. The smallest detail in a fleeting moment can change the whole picture, the perspective—importantly. my perspective.
I’m still learning and evolving. This is where I’ll share my photographs, the stories behind them, and some discoveries along the way.
